Digital loyalty cards in Algeria: questions and answers

Last updated: 24 October 2026

About IkhlassDZ

What is IkhlassDZ?

IkhlassDZ is a digital loyalty card for neighbourhood shops in Algeria. It replaces the paper stamp card: the shop puts a QR code on its counter, the customer scans it with their phone and gets a loyalty card in the shop's own colours, and the shop's staff credit each visit by scanning the customer's card from the IkhlassDZ app. The shopkeeper follows everything from a web dashboard.

IkhlassDZ is based in Algiers. It works in French, Arabic and English, and every amount is in Algerian dinars (DZD).

How does a digital loyalty card work?

Which businesses is it for?

Any business whose customers come back: cafés, restaurants, bakeries, hair and beauty salons, gyms, shops, pharmacies. It works for a single shop and for a business with several branches.

Does the customer have to install an app?

No. After scanning the counter QR, the card opens in the phone's browser. The IkhlassDZ Wallet app, which gathers every card and every reward in one place, is the customer's choice. To join, the customer needs a phone with a camera and an internet connection.

Does the shop need special hardware?

No. Staff scan with a phone the shop already has, using the IkhlassDZ app, and the counter QR is a sticker we provide. There is no terminal and no card printer to buy.

Stamps or points?

Both exist. Stamps work like the paper card: one tap per visit. Points follow the amount spent, for shops whose baskets vary. Each business uses one of the two, chosen with us at setup, and sets its own reward threshold and rewards: a free product, a percentage off or an amount off.

I have several branches. Does each one need its own card?

No. A business has one loyalty programme, and each customer one balance shared across all its branches: a stamp earned in one branch counts in every other, and a reward can be used in any of them. A branch manager only reaches the branches the owner gives them, area by area: no access, view only, or change. There is no fee per branch.

How does it bring customers back?

On its own, first: customers are told when a reward is ready, when one stamp is left, and before a gift card expires. The dashboard shows the regulars who have gone quiet.

Then by offers the shop sends: to customers who have not come for a given number of days, to one branch, to customers of one language, or to those close to a reward, on the date the shop chooses. The IkhlassDZ team reviews every offer before it goes out, and only customers who agreed to receive offers get them.

Can customers invite their friends?

Yes, when the shop turns referral on. A customer shares an invitation link, and is rewarded when the friend they invited makes a first purchase at the counter. The friend's card starts at zero, like everyone else's.

Which languages does it speak?

French, Arabic and English, everywhere: the dashboard, the customer's card, the app and the messages. In Arabic the whole layout reads from right to left, not only the words.

Data, privacy and security

Is customer data safe with IkhlassDZ?

IkhlassDZ is written to comply with Law 18-07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of personal data. In practice:

The details are in the privacy policy.

Who owns the customer list?

The business. The shopkeeper can export their customer data at any time, including after their subscription has ended, and one business's customers are never shown to another.

Will customers receive spam?

No. Offers are opt-in: a customer receives a shop's offers only if they agreed to, separately for each shop, and can turn them off at any time. Every campaign a shop asks to send is reviewed by the IkhlassDZ team before it goes out. Notices about the customer's own card, such as a reward being ready, are not promotions.

How is cheating at the counter prevented?

Every stamp and every point is a recorded entry: which counter, which employee, at what time. A counter phone can only scan once the owner has approved it. Unusual activity — scans outside opening hours, or too close together — is flagged in the owner's review queue. Nothing is refused automatically at the counter: a person decides.

Can a customer delete their account?

Yes, from the app: Account → Security → Delete my account. Their personal information is erased at once and their cards are closed. Past visits stay in each business's books, anonymised.

Pricing

How much does IkhlassDZ cost?

A subscription priced by counter: a counter is a phone that can scan at the same moment. It is never priced per customer, per staff account or per branch. Every business starts with a free two-month trial, then chooses a 4-month or 12-month term, paid upfront; the 12-month term costs less per month. There is no monthly plan.

Current prices are in the pricing section of the home page.

Is the number of customers limited?

No. No plan limits the number of customers, and no customer is ever refused for that reason.

Is it free for customers?

Yes. The card and the app are free for customers, and nothing is sold in the app.

Is setup free?

Yes, on every plan, the trial included: we set up the programme with you, design your card with your colours and logo, deliver the counter QR, create your staff accounts and train your team.

How do I pay?

By CCP, BaridiMob or bank transfer, or in cash; our team records the payment, and a plan starts once it is recorded. Online card payment is not available yet.

What happens at the end of the trial or of a term?

Seven days of grace. After that, the counter stops crediting new stamps and points, but customers lose nothing: balances stay, and gift cards already issued are still honoured. Your data can still be exported, and paying restores everything at once.
